Visitthe museum SOULAGES
The Soulages Museum, named after the painter and engraver from Aveyron, is rich in nearly 500 works, donated by Pierre and Colette Soulages. Born on December 24, 1919 in Rodez, Soulages is known for its use of reflections of the black colour, called “outrenoir“.A second room of the museum of 500 m² is dedicated to temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary artists as was the case in April 2015 with Picasso.
The museum, built in the park of Foirail is only a few hundred meters from the Ruthenian historical center and the cathedral of Rodez.
